Iona College Cross Country, 2011

After an afternoon of intense rain on the Thursday it made for a true cross country course with mud, water and slippery slopes!
Friday was a sunny day so the girls enjoyed the cross country in the warmth, most students crossed the line wet, muddy and tired!
The girls ran the course with enthusiasm and energy. I saw so many girls running when perhaps they may have preferred to walk.
The non-champs ran a 1.5km lap, while the champs for the Year 7,8,9 & 10 girls ran 2 laps. The senior girls dug it in and ran 3 laps.
Congratulations to all the place getters and well done to all the runners. On the day you all “lifted your game”.
