Director of Sport

Permanent - Full Time

We are seeking a passionate Director of Sport (DS). The DS will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing development of sport in the College and, with the assistance of a Sports Coordinator, effectively manage the programmes we have in place. 

Through strong leadership, effective administration and clear communication the DS will be responsible for building positive relationships with students, staff, and whānau, and liaise with the wider sports community. 

The successful candidate will inspire girls to be engaged in sport and physical recreation in a manner that supports the holistic education Iona seeks to provide.

Applicants must have a proven background in sporting participation and coaching, and event management, and they need to be able to articulate a vision for sport in a secondary school environment.  In addition to setting and overseeing sports budgets, it is imperative that applicants have a high regard for health and safety and pastoral care and that they support the Special Character of Iona College.

Boarding Administator

Permanent - Part Time (32 hours)

We are seeking a confident, passionate Administrator who will be responsible for providing administration support to the Director of Boarding to ensure the smooth operation of the Boarding House. 

You will effectively administer the communications with parents, students, and staff. Organise the student leave process, their catering needs, provide back up to our school nurse and organise transportation as and when needed.

You must have a great work ethic, enjoy working with young students, have exceptional organisational skills and be computer literate. Having worked with Orah our boarding management system would be advantageous but is not essential.

It is imperative that applicants have a high regard for health and safety and pastoral care and that they support the Special Character of Iona College.
